Job Title: Project Engineer Salary: Max RM 8K Location: Kuching, Sarawak Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Telco Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Telco Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing telecommunication projects within our organization. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with a strong understanding of networking technologies, project management methodologies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Project Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates. Project Execution: Execute telecom projects according to the established plans and timelines. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely completion of project milestones. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Network Design and Implementation: Design telecom network solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices. Coordinate with network architects to ensure the successful implementation of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and other networking devices. Equipment Procurement: Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and source telecom equipment and materials required for project implementation. Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality deliverables. Technical Support: Provide technical support during project implementation and post-implementation phases. Troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and propose effective solutions to ensure optimal network performance and reliability. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, network diagrams, and user manuals. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate project status, risks, and updates to project stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and team members. Conduct project meetings, prepare progress reports, and facilitate effective communication channels. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Perform system testing, network audits, and user acceptance testing to validate the successful implementation of telecom solutions. Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field. 2 to 3 years of experience in telecommunication projects, preferably in a project engineering role. Strong knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including network infrastructure, voice, data, and video systems. Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
