Job Description

An IT Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects within defined scope and timelines. This includes resource acquisition, coordination of internal teams and third-party vendors/contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered according to objectives and quality standards. The role requires strong project management expertise, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Telecommunications), or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' working experience in the IT field, with proven exposure to project management.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools. o Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project or equivalent).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, tasks, timelines, and resource allocation requirements.
  • Identify and secure appropriate resources such as personnel, equipment, and materials for project execution.
  • Lead project teams by defining clear goals, roles, responsibilities, and deadlines.
  • Oversee project execution in alignment with the approved plan, ensuring quality and compliance with requirements.
  • Monitor progress, resolve issues, and make necessary adjustments to achieve project milestones.
  • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, clients, vendors, and project team members.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop contingency strategies to minimize potential delays or failures.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices to improve future project execution.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through consistent and transparent communication.
