Project Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated

Project Engineer

to join our expanding team in the

medical equipment industry

. This role reports to the Project Management Supervisor and is responsible for driving new product development and manufacturing process improvements to support our growth projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design products and manufacturing processes, including handling new product RFQs. Review customer product designs and propose Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements. Manage new product manufacturing processes and tooling design to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Establish and update Bill of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system for new products and ECN changes. Troubleshoot tooling problems and implement improvements. Prepare product testing, mass production drawings, and packing instructions. Monitor project plans, review specifications, and recommend actions to meet timelines. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, QA, and SCM teams to resolve project issues and implement corrective actions. Liaise with customers for technical issues during new product development. Ensure compliance with RBA and Supplier Code of Conduct. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field. 2-3 years of experience in part design and tool design, preferably in the medical equipment industry. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

and

SolidWorks

. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions accurately. Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills for interacting with people at all levels. Knowledge of

ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949

is a plus.
