The Project Engineer is responsible to assist the Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager to manage projects
30M. Once the project has been taken over from the development phase you will be to work together with the Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager aiming at ensuring excellence in successful investment delivery and achieving all defined project KPI.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

During the Development Phase until Handover to Execution:

Collaborate with the Project Manager and Business Developer to devise cost-effective and technically sound solutions, aligning with specifications and regulations.

Validate local information and requirements in coordination with the Project Manager to ensure seamless integration.

Partner with the Project Manager to draft essential project deliverables encompassing technical solutions, scope, budget, planning, risks, and staffing plans.

Co-develop the project execution strategy with the Project Manager, prioritizing risk assessment and mitigation.

Verify technical integrity and coherence between commercial offers and project definitions, supporting the Project Manager.

Engage in negotiations and aid the business developer in delivering competitive proposals.

Ensure project compliance with AL rules, systems, and relevant external regulations.

During the Execution Phase up to Handover to Operations:

Assist the Project Manager in driving project execution excellence, meeting defined KPIs such as technical performance, Capex, schedule, and risks.

Support the Project Manager in contracting, managing, and challenging both external and internal suppliers and contractors.

Coordinate stakeholders to ensure project quality and integrity up to the transfer to Operations.

Strive for excellence in Construction & Commissioning activities.

Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage changes and negotiate with Gas Customer(s).

Work alongside the Project Manager to identify and mitigate project risks.

Adhere to the project management system, providing regular status reports to the Project Manager.

Assist the Project Manager in executing a comprehensive QA job scope for EPSD gas systems, from installation to commissioning to after-sales services.

Support adherence to QA financial guidelines and good asset management, ensuring accountability of QA assets to secure project wins.

Uphold high Division quality standards, promoting win-win solutions with subcontractors while prioritizing Divisional interests.

Safety / Quality Assurance / Risk Management:

Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain high safety performance, implementing safety rules and conducting safety reviews, along with defining and executing safety action plans.

Ensure project compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) throughout its lifecycle.

Adhere to all safety and specification requirements, prioritizing compliance and safety.

Are you a MATCH?

Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemistry or related Engineering field.

Possess a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the wafer fab industrial sector with knowledge of QA/QC processes.

Proficient in working within tight schedules, preferably with experience in the wafer fab industrial sector.

Experience in project execution and familiarity with gas equipment.

Experience in QA/QC processes will be an advantage.

Thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments.

Strong interpersonal skills, adept at communication and maintaining relationships at all levels, including customers.

Located in or Willing to relocate to Penang, Malaysia.
