Job Description









To be successful in this role:

  • Preferable Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in judgment to plan, analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean methods sufficient to achieve and sustain substantial improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.



Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers.
  • Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
  • Assigns work activities and projects; may review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures.
  • Assists in the selection, training, motivation, evaluation and performance management of store personnel in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements; may meet with staff to identify problems, resolve discrepancies and implement discipline.
  • Drive continuous improvement of company-wide systems, operational processes by proactively identifying, tracking, and challenging operational issues and risks, as well as propose mitigations and implement plans.
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates improvements in business processes and practices.
  • Facilitates cross-functional team work to achieve continuous improvement objectives.
  • Compiles and tracks improvement project data and reports on status. Evaluates the effectiveness of the process improvement program and improves the toolset(s) used.
  • Effectively implements strategic business objectives in driving quality and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain process improvement policies and infrastructure.
  • Optimize or redesign process flows to meet project requirements.
  • Maintain and update all process related documents.
  • Train resources in process improvement techniques.
  • Work with logistics/supply chain managers to identify opportunities for process improvements.
