Project Manager (Advisory)

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the successful implementation of technology-enabled projects, establishing clear PMO strategies, responsibilities, services, and deliverables.
• Monitor project reporting and lead reporting to senior management and stakeholders, providing regular status updates.
• Develop frameworks and standards for project management, manage project finances and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure effective financial management, tracking change requests and cost overruns, while adhering to agreed budgets and timelines.
• Maintain the Risk and Action Log and Issue Register, ensuring project risks and issues are properly documented.
• Take ownership of project planning, milestone management, scope management, and resource planning.
• Coordinate project closure, capturing lessons learned and promoting best practices.
• Foster team cohesion and motivate the team to deliver high-quality work.

Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years of experience as a delivery Project Manager in technology-enabled projects such as Data and Analytics, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence (BI), Automation, or system implementation.
• Consulting experience is preferred.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Analytics, or a relevant field.
• PMP certification is advantageous.
• Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies in technology-enabled projects.
• Proficiency in project management, team management, client relationship management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with project documentation, including project charters, scope of work, contracts, requirements documentation, and risk and issue logs.
• Knowledge of technology-enabled projects, including requirements gathering, business process mapping, and system/solution architecture design.
• Understanding of project delivery concepts such as systems integration, sprint reviews, testing, and release management.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, logical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity, and effectively handle team members and client stakeholders.
• Technical knowledge in areas like data warehousing and BI, data architecture, intelligent automation, and software development is a plus.
• Passionate about project delivery and mentoring others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Committed, creative, resourceful, and able to work under pressure.
• Strong leadership skills and a collaborative mindset.
