Job Description

:



a) Project Planning and Execution



Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, resources, and procurement timelines. Oversee and monitor all project activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and regulatory standards. Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project execution and timely approvals. Ensure proper implementation of site management, construction sequencing, and project delivery within the stipulated timeframe and budget.

b) Team Leadership and Management



Lead, supervise, and motivate the project team (engineers, supervisors, site staff, subcontractors) to achieve project objectives. Provide technical guidance and managerial support to ensure effective coordination across all levels. Resolve site issues, technical challenges, and conflicts promptly to maintain productivity and workflow continuity.

c) Budget and Cost Management



Prepare, control, and monitor project budgets to ensure cost efficiency and optimal resource utilization. Review variation orders, site instructions, and progress claims to identify cost-saving opportunities. Work closely with the contract/QS team on contractual matters, including VO (Variation Orders), EOT (Extension of Time), LAD (Liquidated Ascertained Damages), and final account closure.

d) Quality Assurance and Control



Implement and enforce quality assurance measures aligned with industry standards. Conduct regular quality inspections, testing, and evaluations to ensure workmanship meets specifications and client expectations. Uphold safety compliance and ensure alignment with OSHA, CIDB requirements, and company safety policies.

e) Risk Management



Identify construction, environmental, logistical, and compliance risks early in the project. Develop and implement mitigation plans to reduce disruptions and project delays. Ensure proactive issue resolution and contingency planning throughout the project lifecycle.

f) Client and Stakeholder Relations



Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and authorities. Manage expectations by providing consistent project updates and addressing concerns promptly. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through transparency and quality delivery.

Job Requirements:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Minimum

10 years

of experience in project management and/or site coordination for building projects. Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors. Strong management, communication, and interpersonal skills; fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage. Sound understanding of PAM contracts, contractual practices, and familiar with relevant laws, regulations, and national and industry quality management standards. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant professional certifications are preferred. Strong financial and budget management understanding, with the ability to control project expenses effectively. High attention to detail with strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Building Information Modelling (BIM), AutoCAD, and project management software and tools. Ability to handle confidential information, multitask, and manage competing project demands. Proactive, solution-oriented, and committed to achieving project goals. Actively seeks to maximize value and minimize waste in processes and resource management. Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to challenging site environments.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
