• Job location: Project site located in Selangor/Kuala Lumpur.

Introduction
Our client is a utility based contractor operating for over two decades with works focused in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. The company is a main contractor specializing in water engineering, focus in undertaking construction of civil project in water treatment plants and pump stations and civil supply and construction of reservoir and pump house.
There is a need for Project Manager/Engineer to work on civil water infrastructure projects in and around Selangor and greater Kuala Lumpur. Currently they are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to manage and be involved in all aspects of construction works on their water projects and manage full projects where the main element is construction. The position will be based from their office at Petaling Jaya in Selangor.

Job Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for managing and leading a team in delivering a series of water engineering projects, water treatment plants and stations on time and to a high standards and within budget.
The role requires a thorough understanding of the delivery of water industry project, from design, construction, commissioning and plans.
As the Project Manager, you will need to have background in water, must be Civil & Structural Engineering qualification and have a good knowledge of the construction of pipelines and structures.
The role will involve:

• Liaise with head office management in relation to general site progress and labor requirements.
• Monitor operations and resolve any problems that arise at project site.
• Schedule and supervise sub-contractors, equipment operators and site workers.

Candidate requirements
Candidates who are seeking for this position must have some years of exposure on water and wastewater operations and project management experience.
Applicants must possess tertiary qualification Bachelor degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Ideally have worked on civil water infrastructure project experience with project exposure on pipe line, water and wastewater operations.
Previous civil engineering experience is highly desirable.
He must possess a good communication skills, especially in English and willing to manage project at site.
