This role supports the successful delivery of scopes within the assigned projects, reporting to the Programme Lead. The Project Manager Lead is responsible for managing day-to-day execution, coordinating across business and IT teams, and ensuring readiness for go-live. The role requires strong planning, stakeholder engagement, and delivery discipline across testing, data, and business readiness activities. The Project Manager Lead will also work closely with the central programme team to ensure alignment with overall programme governance, standards, and timelines.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
:
1. Project Governance & Leadership
Drive project governance through regular updates to Workstream Leads and Programme Management
Ensure visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies across assigned projects
Facilitate project-level decision-making forums and working groups
2. Delivery Oversight & Solution Alignment
Review and challenge delivery plans including infrastructure, testing, and data readiness
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and business requirements
Collaborate with IT and business teams to validate solution readiness
3. Vendor & Resource Coordination
Manage project resources, onboarding, and performance tracking
Coordinate with external vendors to ensure delivery quality and integration
4. Timeline & Milestone Management
Maintain detailed project plans and track progress against milestones
Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
5. Stakeholder Communication
Prepare clear and engaging updates for project stakeholders and leadership
Tailor messaging to suit technical and business audiences
6. Documentation & Audit Readiness
Ensure all project decisions, configurations, and processes are documented
7. Testing & Defect Management
Work closely with the Test Lead to plan and execute SIT and UAT phases
Track defect resolution and escalate blockers as needed
Ensure testing outcomes are documented and inform go/no-go decisions
8. Business Readiness & Cutover Planning
Support business readiness activities including training, communications, and stakeholder engagement
Coordinate cutover planning and execution with business and IT teams
Ensure go-live readiness assessments are completed and support post-go-live stabilization
9. Data Migration & Validation
Collaborate with Central team to plan and execute migration activities
Ensure reconciliation and validation processes are in place by business teams to support data integrity
10. Documentation & Risk Management
Maintain project documentation including plans, decisions, and RAID logs
Identify delivery risks early and support mitigation planning
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches).
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) or formal training in programme or portfolio management
Certification in Change Management or Business Analysis (e.g., Prosci, CBAP)
Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years of project management experience, ideally within large-scale transformation programmes
Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects involving finance systems, data migration, and business readiness
Experience working within a programme structure, reporting to a central PMO or Programme Lead
Strong background in cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-implementation support
Demonstrated ability to manage testing phases (SIT, UAT) and coordinate defect resolution across business and IT teams
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, vendors, and offshore delivery teams
Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and regulatory environments (e.g., IFRS17) is a plus
Strong experience preparing and delivering presentations for governance forums, steering committees, and stakeholder briefings
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with ability to synthesize complex information into concise, visual formats
Familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Teams) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence, JIRA) Proficiency Presentation & Communication Tools
Proficient in creating clear, engaging, and executive-ready presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
Skilled in visual storytelling to communicate project status, risks, milestones, and strategic decisions
Able to tailor slide content and format for diverse audiences including business stakeholders, IT teams, and senior leadership.
