We pledge to make Prudential a place where you can Connect, Grow, and Succeed.Job SummaryThe Manager has the key responsibility in leading end to end project delivery in Prudential, responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within scope, on time, and within budget. The role involves coordinating and managing project teams, resources, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Key duties include defining project scope, developing details project plans, monitoring progress, and managing changes to project scope & schedule. The Project Manager also ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and best practices.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (key accountabilities)

  • Delivery & reporting of all assigned prioritised projects within Strategic Project Portfolio to the approved quality, timeline and budgets as defined in the business case and also aligning to the defined standards of the Transformation Division.
  • Ensuring the appropriate governance of the projects to ensure the right results are delivered through the agreed mechanisms and thresholds (including alignment to local & group\xe2\x80\x99s policies/standards).
  • Handling and responsible for project documentation and invoices where necessary.
  • Managing, coordinating and reporting on performance of the projects to create clear visibility and transparency of delivery.
  • Leading the effective end to end delivery of the projects to agreed time, budget, scope and quality.
  • Responsible for clearly understanding the project objectives and ensuring that these are the foundations for delivery.
  • Building a culture of benefit realisation, change management & innovation in the delivery of assigned projects
  • Proactively resolving any project related interdependencies between the respective project and escalating if resolution cannot be achieved.
  • Promoting a culture and understanding of project benefits, change management and innovation across your assigned projects and in all engagements with Business Partners.
  • Taking proactive steps in interdependency management clearly demonstrating a \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d approach.
  • Hands-on and details to the project task, breaks the gaps.
  • Take accountability on end to end project delivery across different departments.
JOB SPECIFICATION (requirements)
  • Qualifications:
  • Degree from a recognized University preferably in Business, Insurance Studies, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, etc.
  • Certified with Project Management Professional (PMP) / Associate in Project Management (APM) / PRINCE2 would be an advantage.
  • Qualified in Agile project management would be an advantage.
  • Professional qualification in Life Insurance i.e., Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII), Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII), Life Office Management Association (LOMA), Australian Institute of Insurance (AII), International Claim Association (ICA) or other related to Life Insurance Industry would be an added advantage.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 8-10 years working experience in project management/IT application project management.
  • Experience in Life insurance Industry with basic operational knowledge in Life Administration, Actuarial, Agency Administration and Finance would be an added advantage
  • At least 4 years of leading a cross functional team with agile methodologies
  • At least 5-6 years of hands-on experience of managing delivering projects.
  • Proven experience in proactively managing interdependencies.
  • Knowledge:
  • Knowledge in SCRUM and other Agile development methodology
  • Articulate and proficient in written and spoken English. Basic knowledge of Asian language and Mandarin in written and spoken will be a value-added advantage
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information at different levels and with a team with talents of diverse backgrounds.
  • Exceptional skills in influencing and negotiation to constructively challenge status quo to achieve productive solutions / outcomes.
  • Exceptional critical problem solving and change management skills.
