Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join us as a Proposal Specialist who will be responsible in creating Steelcase sales proposals and presentations processes.

• Working in partnership with the cross-regional sales organization, the proposal specialist manages the process, and ensure timely and accurate compelling content of the proposal is prepared and delivered.
• Collect written and oral information from field sales, business partners/dealers, and internal subject matter experts of various departments, and prepare/create document and deliverables through support tools (PowerPoint, Word and Excel) that match Steelcase win-win advantages and capabilities to customer\'s requirement and buying needs.
• Facilitate and engage with subject matter experts\' teams to ensure adequate deliverables of areas like product solutions, costing, visuals, contracts, and supply chain support match the business account strategy.
• Evaluate, monitor, and report critical issues to key account managers of any potential overruns and to mitigate risk.
• Research, manage and develop the internal content library as part of the bid/proposal management support.

• Min 3 years of experience in proposal management, account management or sales operation support.
• Hands-on experience to support the bid management function and other collateral materials in efforts to develop RFx response.
• Project management and coordination skills, including organization, teamwork, identifying roles and stakeholders, scheduling, work completion, communications, and process management.
• Excellent in oral and written communication in English, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Good computer literacy, and proficient with Microsoft Office ie PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Is cognizant of the time zone difference as this role is expected to participate in global project meetings with distributed teams in North America and EMEA.
• Highly organized with strong time management and ability to work against challenging deadlines or balance multiple bid projects or assignments.
• Demonstrate ability to lead and manage people within the bid process, especially internal/external cross-functional project teams under a tight time frame.
• Must be able to gather/uncover content, organize and present in an engaging, compelling, and understandable manner.
• This role needs some to little supervision and is capable of managing complex project opportunities with multiple team players.
• A generalist, with strong problem-solving skills, who is passionate and focused on achieving results within short time frames.
• Self-motivated, highly adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-changing environment.

• Have prior working experience or in-depth knowledge of the furniture industry.
• Have prior experience in managing sales accounts.
• Are passionate about continuous and process improvement.
• Have an interest in and basic understanding of copywriting and creative marketing.
• Hold a Bac. Degree in commercial disciplines e.g. Marketing, Communications, or Business or Commerce.
• Are proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop Pro
