Job Description

Assist M&E Engineers in monitoring and coordinating daily site activities for mechanical and electrical works. Ensure M&E installations follow approved drawings, specifications, and work schedules. Support in coordinating with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines (Civil, Structural, Architectural) to resolve site issues. Assist in reviewing M&E drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals. Help identify discrepancies between M&E drawings and other trade drawings. Support the preparation of method statements, work procedures, and technical documentation. Observe and assist in the testing and commissioning of M&E systems such as electrical distribution, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Help prepare inspection and test reports. Learn to verify that systems function according to design and safety requirements. Assist in inspecting M&E installation works to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and safety standards. Help verify materials delivered to site meet project requirements. Prepare and maintain inspection records and checklists. Support in preparing daily site reports, progress updates, and material usage records. Maintain filing of drawings, specifications, material submittals, and correspondences. Assist in preparing minutes for technical and coordination meetings. Help prepare material requisitions and verify supplier quotations. Track material deliveries and ensure proper handling and storage at site. Coordinate with the procurement team on material schedules and approvals. Comply with all site safety rules and support safety initiatives. Report unsafe conditions or practices to the supervisor. Participate in toolbox meetings and assist in promoting safe work behavior. Assist in liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and authorities regarding M&E-related works. Support the M&E Engineer in coordination meetings and inspections. Learn about compliance with local codes and regulatory requirements. Participate actively in on-the-job training, technical discussions, and mentoring sessions. Gain practical exposure to M&E systems, project management, and site operations. Perform any other ad-hoc tasks or assignments as directed by the M&E Engineer or Project Manager.
