We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented
Purchaser Assistant
to support our purchasing department. You will assist in sourcing suppliers, preparing purchase orders, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials for production.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing, comparing, and evaluating suppliers, prices, and product quality.
Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) accurately and on time.
Follow up with suppliers on order status, shipment schedules, and delivery arrangements.
Maintain and update purchasing records, price lists, and supplier databases.
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and coordinate with store/warehouse on stock movements.
Work closely with production, QA/QC, and other departments to understand material requirements.
Ensure all purchased materials comply with company quality and food safety standards.
Resolve any supply issues, delivery delays, or discrepancies in quantity/quality.
Support administrative tasks such as filing, documentation, and reports.
Requirements
Minimum SPM / Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; experience in purchasing is an added advantage.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of food manufacturing processes or materials is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
