Job description
This established construction company based in Shah Alam is looking for a mandarin speaking purchaser who has had relevant purchasing experience within the M&E space. Must be able to multi task because they will be working on several projects, have time management skills and can work in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible in sourcing of new suppliers from local and overseas markets
- Negotiating costs and doing price comparisons for product specifics, quality standards and means of delivery
- Generate and issue purchase orders and ensure all pricing and T&C are agreed on
- Managing logistics and shipping support and to be able to prepare custom clearance documentation
- Must be able to liaise with china based suppliers/contractors for projects
- Holding a Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering or any relevant discipline
- At least 3 years of experience within the construction industry
- Have relevant experience purchasing within the M&E space in construction
- Must be able to speak English, Mandarin and BM
- Would preferably have experience with logistics and shipping
