What you'll be doing
Manage the day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services
Maintain and update the company's inventory and stock levels to ensure efficient supply chain operations
Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to coordinate the timely delivery of goods and services
Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize purchasing processes
Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures
Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure the effective distribution and delivery of purchased items
Provide comprehensive reporting and data analysis to support decision-making
What we're looking for
Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and implement process improvements
