Requirements

  • Assist in the procurement process, including generating purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Support the purchasing team in negotiating contracts and securing favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure timely procurement of necessary materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities and cost savings.
  • Translate documents and communicate with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the procurement process by generating purchase orders and tracking their progress from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely availability of materials for construction projects.
  • Maintain and update the supplier database, including contact information, pricing, and performance metrics, to facilitate efficient sourcing and vendor management.
  • Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to understand material requirements and specifications, ensuring accurate and timely procurement to avoid project delays.
  • Support the negotiation of pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable payment terms, contributing to the overall project budget management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in implementing inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock levels at construction sites.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and pricing, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality, ensuring smooth supply chain operations.
