The Purchasing Assistant supports the procurement team in sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and processing purchase orders to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining accurate procurement records.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Source and coordinate with local suppliers.
Monitor branch stock levels and assist in replenishment planning.
Process purchase orders and update price lists.
Assist with product quality checks and discrepancies.
Support clearance of stagnant stock with marketing & branch teams.
Maintain accurate records in procurement systems (e.g., AutoCount).
Qualification & Requirements:
Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in purchasing or stock control (retail/wholesale preferred).
Proficient in Google Workspace; AutoCount knowledge is an advantage.
Must be detail-oriented, with strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and follow-up skills.
Honest, trustworthy, and able to work under pressure.
Willing to travel occasionally for supplier visits or branch audits.
Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage, as the role involves liaising with suppliers from China.
