We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling purchasing activities, coordinating with local and overseas suppliers (mainly from China), and ensuring timely delivery of materials and goods.
You must be able to
read Chinese
and
communicate fluently in Mandarin, English, and Malay.
Responsibilities :
- Source, compare, and negotiate with local and international suppliers (especially China-based).
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up on order status, shipment, and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Liaise with internal departments (warehouse, accounts, operations) to ensure smooth procurement flow.
- Monitor inventory levels and plan reorders accordingly.
- Ensure all purchases meet company standards and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in other administrative tasks related to purchasing as required.
Requirements :
- Candidate must be able to read Chinese, write and speak Mandarin.
- Good command of English and Malay (spoken & written).
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
- Proficient in Microsoft, Google Sheet and other basic computer skills
