We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Purchasing Officer

to manage procurement activities for construction materials, equipment, and services. You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting smooth project operations.

Responsibilities

Source and purchase construction materials, tools, and equipment according to project requirements. Request quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate with suppliers for the best terms. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and promptly. Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely material supply and resolve delivery issues. Maintain updated supplier lists and build strong vendor relationships. Monitor market price trends and recommend cost-saving opportunities. Verify delivery orders (DO), invoices, and ensure compliance with company SOP. Maintain proper documentation for audits, ISO requirements, and procurement reports.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or equivalent.

Minimum 4-5 years of working experience

in purchasing, preferably in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction materials and supplier sourcing. Excellent negotiation, communication, and comparison skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/AutoCount is an added advantage. Able to work independently and manage multiple urgent requests. Possess own transport and willing to travel to sites/suppliers when required.
