Job Description

The

Purchasing Officer

is responsible of sourcing, evaluation, and procurement of supplies, equipment, and materials required for the efficient operation of hospital inpatient food service, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

LOCATION:



Hospital Serdang, Kajang.

RESPOSIBILITIES:



Source, evaluate, and procure a wide range of supplies including food, beverages, equipment, and materials for restaurant and banquet hall operations. Collaborate closely with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Work closely with the culinary and operations teams to understand ingredient and equipment requirements, ensuring timely delivery of items. Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, and delivery details. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with kitchen and event management teams to optimize stock levels and minimize wastage. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier information, and procurement activities. Participate in cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of procurement strategies and operational improvements. Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and relevant procurement regulations. Any other duties assigned and instructed by the superior.

QUALIFICATIONS:



Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in F&B, hospitality, or event management. Typhoid and Food Handling Certificate is a must. Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure. Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for various health conditions. Solid experience and knowledge in Hospital business, processes and procedures. Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards. Ability to adapt to changing demands and prioritize tasks effectively. Familiarity with KKM's food safety regulations and compliance. Required to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays. Possess own transport and willing to travel if required.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 36 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
