Job Description

Responsibilities:

Performs purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities. Work involves researching, evaluating, purchasing, and procuring commodities, equipment and services using guidelines, rules, policies, and laws.

Essential Duties:

Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the procurement function. Designs, implements, manages, optimize and monitors procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements. Lead teams to negotiate the best possible deals with suppliers and ensure contract terms are protected the company. Continuously evaluates market, delivery, and pricing to determine present and future material availability to maximize profitability. Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct. Sources, negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors. Verify and ensure Purchase Request ("PR") are raised with reasonable. Liaising with delivery and construction teams to ensure goods are received on time. Monitoring inventory and writing orders to refill stock. Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely. Identify damaged or defective goods and work out an alternative solution with the supplier. Updating all records of purchased products. Writing reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses. Attending and contributing to meetings with staff and other stakeholders. Other job assigned by the superior.

Requirements

Minimum a Diploma level and above. Proficient in Ms Word, Excel, Power Point. Ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters. Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills. Effective relationship building skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively. Ability to work independently & to carry out assignments to completion within timeline given. Minimum 5 years' experience on construction are preferred. Preferable age range between 27 to 40 years old. Good command of written and verbal in Mandarin, English, and Malay (Cantonese is advantageous)

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
