Role summary:
The QA Assistant Manager is responsible to manage the Quality department functions by ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance across our organization. This position will be reporting directly to the QA Manager and will be groomed as the successor to lead and manage the Quality team. Responsible to ensure smooth operations for Quality activities of ROCKWOOL Malaysia Sdn Bhd as well as to develop and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures, and the achievements of its planned objectives.
Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:
Work closely with QA Manager and Factory Operation Manager, MY to understand the role, and actively participate in managerial tasks to prepare for seamless transition.
Supervise and to guide QA team in execute comprehensive testing procedures to ensure the quality of products are meets or exceed defined standards.
Contribute to the creation and enhancement of quality assurance policies and procedures to streamline processes and elevate overall product quality.
Foster strong collaborations with development, product management, and other teams to address quality concerns, drive defect prevention, and implement effective corrective actions.
Facilitate the training and development of QA teams, fostering a culture of continues learning and skill enhancement.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, results, and issues, updating monthly Balanced score reports on Quality Metrics to South Asia (SA) Quality organization and Factory Operation Manager, MY.
Ensure compliance of products with industry standards and regulations, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies to continuously evolve the QA functions.
Responsible for the approval for department expenses with limits specified by Finance, QA teams leave application, work instruction for QA team, changes in procedures (Eg : ISO documents, customer complaint, JSA, Aspects & Impact).
Communication & Working Relationships
Work closely with CS team members, Planners, Logistics dept, Sales dept and other related dept.
Work closely with Factory Operations Manager, Operations, and other related department.
Leading a team of QA Engineer, QA Executive, QA Controller and QA/QC Inspectors with respective job function.
Will deal with customers, vendors, and certification/inspection bodies.

Bachelors degree in science or engineering or Related field
10 years working experience & minimum 5 years experience in Quality Department, Manufacturing Industry
Good knowledge of ISO requirements and possesses ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certificate.
