WE ARE LOOKING FOR QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR TO WORK IN BAYAN LEPASPosition: QA/QC InspectorWorking Location: Kawasan Perindustrian Bayan Lepas, PenangCompany Industry: ManufacturingWorking hours: Monday - Friday (0830 hour to 1730) Extended working hours: Rotation basis. However candidate is able to come in after lunch to ensure he had a good restSaturday (0830 - 1300) Occasion on rotation basisWorking Duration: 12 months (renewable)Salary: RM8,000 - RM10,000Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector at VWTS is responsible for ensuring the Quality Control is managed in compliance with SOPs and Quality Management Systems. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager / Quality Lead & Engineer will be based at VWTS construction site Penang, Malaysia. This position is responsible for managing and inspection compliance to applicable internal / external procedures and regulatory requirements. Functions include QA support for change of control, deviations, investigations, document control, training, validation, internal audits and regulatory inspections.\xef\xbb\xbfResponsibilities:

• Perform Surveillance Inspection to ensure that the construction work is performed and duly meeting the project specific Quality Requirements
• Verify in process inspection, final inspection and welding
• Carry out Welding control and inspection
• Prepare and maintain Welding Audit Report during construction
• Record result of inspections and maintain records of specific items as per contract or specifications
• Administer AFI request to Client and 3rd party and coordinate for inspection as identified in the respective discipline ITP
• Raise Non-conformance reports as seen during inspection and follow-up on status of rework and close-out
• Arrange for proper NDT requirements as per specifications
• Interpret RT films pertaining to welding joints
• Review all NDT reports and approval
• Establish and maintain inspection and NDT progress status on weekly basis
• Generate weekly weld rejection rate summary and weekly welder performance
• Witness all testing activities as required by approved Inspection and Test plan
• Monitor PWHT activities carried out as per approved procedure
• Attend to all potential quality issue to prevent occurrence of defects
• Prepare Test Packs for Piping Hydro static testing
• Prepare or compile final punch list prior to delivery of the fabricated and assembled components
• Follow-up other discipline HOD\'s to get relevant documents as per MDR Index for compiling
• Compile of records for MDR (Final Dossiers)
• Coordinate with client for review and approval of the MDR
• Carry out surveillance activities during project execution
• Attend to all potential quality issue to prevent occurrence of defects.
• Prepare Test Packs for Piping Hydro static testing
• Read, understand of International Standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME sec IX, ASME V, AWS D1.1
• Ensure quality of inspected items to meet project requirement and standard
• Conduct welding procedure and welder performance qualification test as per standard ASME Sec. IX.
• Read, understand of International Standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME sec IX, ASME V, AWS D1.1
• Read, understand project related ITP, procedures, specification requirements
• Review documents and drawings as per specification
• Knowledge / experience about Piping Isometrics, P&ID
• Maps, Welding symbols, Cutting Plans, Quality control procedures, Base Materials and welding consumables
• Inspection, review of mill certificates, Material verification
• Inspection of Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, valves, nipples, plate tubes as per respective materials specifications,
• Codes, Standards & amp; Client Specifications. Inspection / Witness & Review Stage wise activities earlier stage of spool fabrication
• Fit-up Inspection and welding inspection, visual inspection.
• Monitor and record welding parameter during welding as per WPS.
• Carry on & witness ferrite test inspection with Clint after welding duplex / super duplex pipe spools weld joints.
• Monitor and witness NDT, which includes UT, MT, PT and random RT film interpretation.
• Witness for post weld heat treatment and review the reports. line check inspection, Pneumatic Testing, Hydro test, hot oil flushing, Chemical cleaning, Flood test, flushing & reinstatement, till the final stage of color coding and valve tagging.

Requirement;

• With 5 years\' experience in Marine shipyard or mechanical installation as an Inspector in Structural/Piping discipline
• CIDB card holder
• Preferably have a Certificate of Steel work and carbon steel welding inspection
• Have basic knowledge in structural and piping materials
• Good analytical skills, self-motivated and good team player
• Service oriented, able to work with cross-functional teams to achieve objective
• Physically fit to attend site
