Job Purpose:
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all railway construction, maintenance, and operational activities comply with quality and safety standards. This role involves inspecting materials, procedures, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry regulations, and quality assurance guidelines.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Assist the HOD and QAQC Manager for the implementation of group's quality assurance policies, quality manual and management procedures at the project site.
Responsible for the implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) throughout the project sites.
Inspect materials, components, and workmanship at various stages of railway construction and maintenance.
Verify welding, track installation, signaling systems, and rolling stock quality.
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, or radiographic testing.
Identify defects, non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor and document test results, deviations, and corrective measures.
To ensure the external NCR raised by the Client is to be closed out accordingly within the commitment date given.
To co-ordinate with the Project Manager / Construction Manager / Site Engineer on site QAQC requirements to ensure works are carried out accordingly to the work method statement.
To plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality is up to the specification.
To assist QAQC Manager to carry out investigation on customer complaints, nonconformances and provide continual improvement plan for the Group Quality Management System.
To perform any other duties when required by QAQC Manager or the Management.
To take reasonable care for Health, Safety, Environmental and Welfare as per the Occupational Safety & Health Act, company policy and OSH Management System.
Experience:
The candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree or diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil), Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Strong knowledge of railway construction codes and safety regulations.
Previous work experience as a QA/QC Inspector in railway, metro, or infrastructure projects
Minimum 2 years' working experience in IS0 9001 requirement.
Dynamic & aggressive leadership with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge in Quality Assurance & Quality Control in the production of precast concrete is an advantage.
Required languages: English & Bahasa Malaysia.
