To ensure that all products and components related to crane manufacturing comply with the required quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Responsible for conducting inspections, monitoring processes, and maintaining QA/QC records throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare all relevant documents in accordance with applicablecodes and project specifications.
Ensure all work is performed as per code, project specification, and inspection/test requirements.
Verify that the correct Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), endorsed and approved by the client/owner, is used for the respective job.
Ensure all fabricated equipment complies with the approved drawings.
Coordinate with the NDT team or subcontractors to carry out inspections on time and as per specification.
Review and monitor reports, including RT films and NDT results.
Carry out all quality control inspection activities as instructed by HOD and in accordance with the Company's Quality Procedures.
Prepare standard OMM/EOMR (Operation and Maintenance Manual / Equipment Operation Manual Report) for each crane manufactured.
Ensure all QC documentation is accurately and timely prepared and submitted.
Perform QC/Welding inspections at the shop floor and/or site as required.
Monitor daily field/shop activities and report any quality concerns to the HOD.
Ensure all QC activities are conducted on schedule and do not delay production.
Liaise with the client's inspector for inspection arrangements and report preparation.
Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance of inspection tools are carried out periodically as per ISO 9001 standards.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the HOD or management.
Education & Experience (Preferred)
Diploma in Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or Quality Control.
Fresh graduates or entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with at least 1 year of experience in a related industrial environment will have an added advantage.
Skills & Knowledge (Required or To Be Provided if do not possess)
Ability to interpret and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
Able to work independently, self-motivated, committed, and demonstrate a positive attitude.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
