Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management System (QMS)
Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in compliance with
ISO 9001
, and other applicable ISO standards.
Ensure compliance with
API standards
.
Act as the
Management Representative
for quality-related matters.
Prepare, review, and control quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and records.
Audit & Compliance
Plan and conduct
internal audits
, supplier audits, and support
external audits
(ISO, API, customer, and regulatory).
Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure.
Liaise with certification bodies, clients, and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.
Production & Process Quality
Ensure quality control plans, inspection test plans (ITP), and procedures are effectively implemented.
Monitor product conformity throughout manufacturing processes including machining, threading, welding, coating, or assembly (as applicable).
Review and approve inspection records, material certifications, and final release documentation.
Customer & Supplier Quality
Handle customer complaints, non-conformance reports (NCR), and root cause analysis.
Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve customer satisfaction.
Evaluate and qualify suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
Identify quality risks and implement mitigation plans.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools (e.g. RCA, FMEA, PDCA).
Analyze quality data and KPIs to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
Training & Leadership
Train and guide QAQC team members on ISO, API, and quality procedures.
Conduct quality awareness training for production and support departments.
Lead, coach, and develop the QAQC team to ensure competency and performance.
Authority
Authority to stop production or delivery in the event of quality non-conformance.
Approval authority for quality documents, inspection reports, and release notes.
Recommend improvements to processes, systems, and suppliers.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
Minimum
8-10 years of experience
in QAQC, with at least
3-5 years in a managerial role
.
Strong experience in
manufacturing and offshore / oil & gas-related industries
.
Proven experience in implementing and maintaining
ISO 9001
and
API Q1/Q2
systems.
Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001) is an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
In-depth knowledge of
ISO standards
,
API standards
, and quality tools.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
Good communication skills to interact with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
Proficient in documentation, reporting, and MS Office applications.

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
