Job Description

Job Purpose :



To direct and control quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure all products meet specified quality standards, food safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while driving continual improvement in quality processes.

Roles & Responsibilities :



Develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC programs for chili sauce and ketchup production. Establish quality standards and specifications for raw materials, in-process, and finished products. Conduct incoming inspections of raw materials. Monitor critical control points throughout production processes. Perform regular product testing including pH, viscosity, colour, taste, and microbiological analysis. Manage laboratory operations and coordinate with external testing facilities when required. Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions. Conduct internal audits and prepare for external certifications and regulatory inspections. Train production staff on quality procedures and food safety protocols. Maintain documentation systems for quality records and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with R&D Manager on product development and specification validation. Monitor supplier quality performance and conduct supplier audits. Develop and update quality manuals, SOPs, and work instructions. Manage non-conforming products and oversee product recall procedures if necessary. Report quality metrics and trends to management. Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF, BRC).

Requirements :



Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field. Minimum 5-7 years' experience in food quality assurance, preferably in sauce/condiment industry. Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and food processing principles. Experience with HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HALAL Certification or similar food safety management systems. Proficiency in analytical testing methods and laboratory equipment operation. Knowledge of statistical process control and quality management systems. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills. Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities. Leadership skills for managing QA/QC team and training production staff. Strong communication skills for dealing with regulatory agencies and customers. Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions quickly.

Pay: RM2,696.13 - RM9,359.19 per month
