Job Description

Quality Monitoring



Supervise and inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance. Ensure raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products comply with halal requirements and laboratory testing. Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems. Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods. Ensure all SOPs related to food handling, storage, and processing are followed. Ensure product specifications such as texture, taste, color, and weight meet quality expectations as per company standards. Ensure testing equipment and devices for QC are maintained and calibrated. Monitor hygiene for production areas to ensure adherence to hygiene protocols and good condition. Monitor cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and personnel. Conduct routine food safety inspections on the area assigned. Ensure compliance with Malaysian food safety standards (e.g., MeSTI, HACCP, Halal).

Documentation and Reporting



Maintain accurate records for production processes, test results, and corrective actions. Provide reports related to quality monitoring wherever needed. Document non-conformance issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Assist in preparing documents for internal and external audits.

Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement



Investigate and troubleshoot product non-conformities and customer complaints. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance quality efficiency. Coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

Audits and Regulatory Compliance



Assist in internal and external audits. Ensure adherence to Malaysian food safety regulations and industry best practices. Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., Ministry of Health, Halal certification bodies) during inspections.

Team Coordination, Training & Development



Provide guidance to other department staff on quality control procedures and food safety practices. Lead a group of Quality Controllers and ensure the team is updated with current SOPs. Liaise with suppliers wherever needed. Assist to conduct training sessions on hygiene practices, SOPs, and safety standards for kitchen staff. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and awareness regarding food safety. Coordinate direct subordinates and provide on-the-job training and briefings to new and current staff. Promote positive food safety culture to all levels of the organization.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
