Quality Assurance Manager

Job description

Our client in Melaka is a leading semiconductor manufacturer. Due to rapid expansion, they are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• IATF 16949 Compliance: Ensure that all quality management processes and systems align with the requirements of the IATF 16949 automotive standard.
• Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system that covers all aspects of semiconductor manufacturing, from design to delivery.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of quality engineers and technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure the team\'s effectiveness and development.
• Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain strong quality relationships, conduct supplier audits, and drive improvements in supplier quality performance.
• Process Improvement: Continuously monitor and analyze manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis activities for quality issues, implement effective corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution of problems.
• Quality Audits: Conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with quality standards and facilitate continuous improvement.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate quality documentation, prepare regular quality reports, and communicate quality performance metrics to senior management.
• Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality-related inquiries, feedback, and concerns, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant quality and regulatory requirements, ensuring the company\'s continued compliance with all applicable standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
• Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation is highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in quality assurance within semiconductor manufacturing, with a strong understanding of the IATF 16949 standard.
• Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Proficiency in quality management tools and software.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
