Requirements

• Possess a Diploma in a relevant field such as Printing Technology, Quality Management, or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within the printing or publishing industry.
• Demonstrated ability to meticulously inspect printed materials, identifying defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from established quality standards.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Proficient in utilizing quality control tools and techniques, including statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and process audits.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address quality-related challenges and develop effective solutions to improve overall product quality.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate quality issues, recommendations, and feedback to stakeholders at all levels.
• Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices within the printing industry.
• Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with diverse teams and clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership qualities and a proactive approach to quality improvement.
• Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and other relevant industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of printed materials at various stages of production, including pre-press, printing, and finishing, to identify defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from established quality standards.
• Utilize quality control tools and techniques, such as color measurement devices, densitometers, and proofing systems, to assess print quality, color accuracy, registration, and overall appearance.
• Compare printed samples against approved proofs and specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements and internal quality benchmarks.
• Document and report quality control findings, including detailed descriptions of defects, their severity, and potential causes, using standardized reporting formats.
• Collaborate with production teams, including press operators, pre-press technicians, and finishing staff, to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of defects.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of quality control procedures, work instructions, and training materials to ensure consistent application of quality standards across all production processes.
• Monitor and analyze quality control data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to enhance overall print quality and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions, ensuring traceability and accountability throughout the production process.
• Assist in the investigation of customer complaints related to print quality and participate in the development of solutions to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, quality control standards, and emerging technologies in printing and publishing to continuously improve quality control processes and capabilities.
