Quality Engineer

Role Summary/Purpose:

A Quality Engineer, work to ensure the overall quality of manufactured products. They test processes, monitor quality standards, create documentation, devise quality tests and define the criteria a test result should meet. Quality Engineers monitor the quality of a process and play a key role in fixing issues when they arise.

Quality Engineers work within a wider team of professionals to ensure that the final products are safe, reliable and meet customer expectations while keeping the manufacturing process as effective and cost-efficient as possible.

Quality Engineers are often tasked with the creation of quality practices, standard operation procedures (SOPs) and the relevant documentation for a given product or factory.

And if something goes wrong, it's the quality engineer's job to meticulously document the problem and work with other internal departments to find a solution

Essential Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing quality standards.

Monitoring and analysing quality performance.

Collaborating with internal departments to develop and implement controls and improvements

Review and implement Standard Operating Procedures.

Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with SOP.

Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.

Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.

Auditing systems based on ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 requirements

Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products

Handle quality issues that arise during production

Drive down customer quality complaints systemically by finding the root cause of the issue at hand.

Communicating the root cause of the problems to eliminate all errors.

To maintain, follow up and closing out the Internal Corrective Action Request raised on the management system

Handle internal and external quality issues.

In charge of Document control, Incoming inspections and Calibrations activities

Additional Roles:

Performs any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements:

Minimum Diploma/ Degree with some working experience as Quality Engineer Knowledge of ISO 9001 & IATF 16949, and QMS Proactive in conducting continuous improvement Good analytical, problem solving and judgement skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong capabilities of writing and comprehending 8D reports. Able to communicate effectively with internal & external functional teams Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP, etc. preferred. Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel Data organization skills Have a valid driving license. Able to work on overtime

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advance/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or equivalent

Pay: RM2,400.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
