Job Summary

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems meet required quality standards and customer specifications. This role works closely with production, engineering, and inspection teams to drive continuous improvement, resolve quality issues, and maintain compliance with quality management systems and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes. Ensure products and processes comply with internal standards and customer requirements. Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as inspection plans, control plans, and quality reports. Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections as required. Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and support improvement initiatives. Support internal and external audits, including ISO and customer audits. Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues. Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety rules, and relevant industry standards. Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality matters when required.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field). Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or in a quality-related role within manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS 9001 or equivalent). Familiar with quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, SPC, FMEA, and 7 QC tools. Experience with inspection methods and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Good documentation, reporting, and analytical skills. Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environments is an advantage.

Pay: RM4,700.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
