The Quality Engineer SME II will adopt as its goals; the continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles with focus on pFMEA and Control Plan.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\xc2\xb7 Project leader \xe2\x80\x93direct and implement projects that will mitigate or eliminate risk, through the use of quality engineering tools and techniques.\xc2\xb7 Creation, Improvement and deployment of PFMEA governance (metrics, assessment, performance tracking, forums, improvement plans)\xc2\xb7 Creation, Improvement and deployment of Global Generic PFMEAs by Process in conjunction with other global SMEs.\xc2\xb7 Worldwide PFMEA training creation, improvement and deployment to regions and sites.\xc2\xb7 Worldwide PFMEA deployment in partnership with regions, sites and other departments\xc2\xb7 Improvement and deployment of eFMEA system, being the process owner of the tool\xc2\xb7 Serve as PFMEA expert and Support the regions and sites\xc2\xb7 Lead global PfMEa forums communicating changes, enhancements, training schedule, gaps and actions\xc2\xb7 Ensure the standardization of the PFMEA processes in Jabil worldwide\xc2\xb7 Identify early signs of low performance from the sites in the assigned regions and initiate recovery activities to prevent customer complaints
o This will include but is not limited to: DOE, SPC, Weibull analysis and commonality analysis
\xc2\xb7 Lead and critically evaluate cross-functional projects with broad in-depth knowledge of various functions outside of quality engineering to optimize complex or large-scale projects
\xc2\xb7 Lead as Subject Matter Expert in all global & regional Quality systems and applications (APQP, MSA, Minitab, eFMEA, eSPC, 8D, RCA, and Problem Solving)
\xc2\xb7 Lead as Subject Matter Expert in all Quality Engineering practices
\xc2\xb7 Lead process improvement related activities for New Product Introduction
\xc2\xb7 Communicate to regional team key Quality Engineering metrics for assigned customer(s) and Site
\xc2\xb7 Drive the standardization of Manufacturing Process Quality Standards
\xc2\xb7 Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Quality Engineering team & other functional engineering teams as needed
\xc2\xb7 Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional and site direction
\xc2\xb7 Develop new Quality engineering best practices with supporting data to Regional and Global Quality teams to optimize existing best practices
\xc2\xb7 Support & Advise Business Unit Coordinators and Business Unit Managers, and Site Management on new and actual processes capability
\xc2\xb7 Drive process improvement related activities for New Product Introduction.
\xc2\xb7 Champions compliance to applicable Global Regulations and standards (e.g. ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, VDA 6.3, ISO 13485).
\xc2\xb7 Supports the development of quality engineering, quality compliance, quality leadership talents with the right skill sets for new product introductions, and product life cycle management.
\xc2\xb7 Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS\xc2\xb7 Key Requirements:
o Understanding and application of broad range of quality engineering tools (e.g., DOE, MSA, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis.)
o Understanding of Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s global strategies and direction
o Understanding of site\xe2\x80\x99s facilities, capabilities and how they tie back to the Jabil strategies and direction\xc2\xb7 Advanced process knowledge: printer, SOI, P&P, wave, manual assembly, test\xc2\xb7 Advanced knowledge of process control\xc2\xb7 Advanced knowledge of pFMEA and Control Plan\xc2\xb7 Relentless in exploring new and latest methods in improving assembly techniques\xc2\xb7 Understand DFM/DFA and IPC requirements\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Quality System applied to internal manufacturing processes
o Proven record of accomplishment of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous improvements and cost reduction programs
o Strong communication skills
o Strong mentoring, coaching and leadership skills are required.

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of Quality Systems applied to internal manufacturing processes
\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project requiredEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\xc2\xb7 Bachelors of Science degree required, IE or ME, EE are preferred
\xc2\xb7 MS in Quality/Industrial Engineering or MBA preferred
\xc2\xb7 Lean Silver Certificate or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
\xc2\xb7 At least 10 years of working experience with 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering or related field
