Job description 1. Quality System Control o Establish and maintain quality systems aligned with quality management practices. o Ensure effective implementation of Control Plans, SPC, FAI/FAIR, PPAP, PFMEA, Traceability, Calibration. o Ensure manufacturing documents are accurate, traceable, and audit-ready. 2. Shopfloor Quality Execution o Lead QA/QC operations for incoming, in-process, and final inspection. o Enforce line-stop authority when defects or safety risks occur. o Apply GD&T control, measurement techniques, and process capability to prevent rework. 3. Root Cause & CAPA Leadership o Drive structured investigation: 8D, DMAIC, 5Why, Ishikawa, Pareto. o Implement effective CAPA and verify results with data, not statements. o Improve scrap rate, rework rate, machining tolerance stability, and yield. 4. Engineering & Production Collaboration o Work closely with Engineering to validate machining parameters, fixtures, tool selection, and new product introduction (NPI). o Support Production in resolving measurement issues, tool wear, chatter, surface finish, and geometrical deviation. 5. Customer Quality & Audit Interface o Lead customer complaint management and improvement actions. o Present failure analysis, response plan, closure confirmation, and prevention strategy. o Manage audits: customer, ISO, supplier, and internal. 6. Team Leadership o Develop competency of inspectors, technicians, and quality engineers. o Train team in GD&T, SPC, gauge handling, SOP discipline.
Requirements o Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering. o 7-10 years experience in manufacturing quality, at least 3-5 years in leadership. o Proven success reducing scrap, stabilizing machining process, and handling customer claims. o Experience with precision machining / metal parts / CNC machining is strongly preferred. o Strong communication with operators, engineers, customers, and senior management. o High integrity, strong decision-making, capable of hands-on leadership.
