The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes cost estimation, cost control, contract administration, and value engineering to ensure the project is completed within budget and meets legal and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Budget costing for projects (M&E and civil works).
Conduct project cost analysis.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Responsible for ensuring that work done is claimed up-to-date, Variation Orders (V/O) submitted timely and profitably, and settle final account.
Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards to maintain quality and safety.
Assist in the negotiation and settlement of claims and disputes.
Updates cash flow and monitors project budget.
Work closely with Project Directors to deliver successful projects and foster a positive team environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry (Data Center construction experience is a Plus)
Strong knowledge in quantity take-off, site measurement, cost estimation, claim evaluation, and variation orders.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Detail-oriented.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, MS Words, AutoCAD).
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel to sites when is necessary.
To undertake other related jobs from time to time as directed by the director.
