About the role

Alam Kotamas Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Executive (QS) to join our dynamic team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As a full-time member of our Construction division, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial success of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for construction projects Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction lifecycle Negotiating and finalising sub-contractor agreements and purchase orders Reviewing and approving progress claims and variation orders Providing regular cost reporting and forecasting to project stakeholders Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing value engineering initiatives Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline Minimum 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry Strong understanding of construction cost management principles and best practices Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software, such as CostX or Causeway Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
