Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Proficient in cost estimation, with the ability to accurately prepare and analyze construction costs.
• Experienced in quantity takeoff, ensuring precise measurement and quantification of materials and labor.
• Knowledgeable in contract management principles and practices, including contract administration and dispute resolution.
• Skilled in cost control techniques, monitoring project expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Familiar with construction cost management methodologies, including budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to project success.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Johor Bahru, adhering to project schedules and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, utilizing cost estimation skills and historical data.
• Perform quantity takeoff from construction drawings and specifications to accurately determine the quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for projects.
• Assist in the preparation and administration of contract documents, including reviewing terms and conditions, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring expenditures, identifying cost variances, and recommending corrective actions.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive construction cost management system, tracking project costs, and generating reports for management review.
• Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in site visits to monitor progress, assess work quality, and identify potential cost-related issues.
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, contract documents, and change orders.
