Develop Bills of Quantities (BQ), specifications, and tender documents.
Analyse drawings, construction plans, and project requirements for accurate pricing.
Evaluate tender submissions, conduct cost comparisons, and provide recommendations.
Participate in procurement planning, sourcing strategies, and negotiation with vendors.
Support value engineering exercises to optimize project cost and design.
B. Post-Contract
Administer and monitor project cost, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
Prepare and verify progress claims, payment certificates, and subcontractor claims.
Evaluate and process variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT) claims, and contractual correspondences.
Conduct site valuations, measure work-in-progress, and update cost forecasts.
Review and administer subcontract agreements and supplier contracts.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms, statutory requirements, and company policies.
C. Cost Control & Reporting
Maintain accurate cost records and track project expenditure.
Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow projections, and financial updates to management.
Identify cost risks, recommend mitigation plans, and highlight potential savings.
Support project teams in budget control and commercial decision-making.
D. Contract & Documentation Management
Prepare contract documentation, letters, and commercial reports.
Maintain proper documentation on contracts, correspondences, and approvals.
Ensure all QS-related documents are archived systematically for audit and reference.
E. Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with project managers, consultants, architects, engineers, and clients on commercial matters.
Work closely with procurement, finance, and site teams to ensure seamless cost control and project execution.
Attend meetings and provide commercial input when required.
F. Carry out any additional responsibilities or ad-hoc tasks assigned by the direct superior.
