Organize the division of a project into its component work packages, then awarding these work packages to smaller, more specialized construction companies (known as subcontractors) and, in that process, finding out who offers the best deal.
Analyze and summarize scope of tender, preparation of BOQ, pricing and submission.
Taking off Quantity from drawings, tenders calculation, evaluation tenders, prepare preliminary costing, handling of variation orders and able to do project cost control and etc.
Source, liaise and negotiable with supplier and sub-contractor for material pricing and purchasing.
Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents
Arrange staff payments and, at the end of a job, settling the final accounts
Keep track of materials and ordering more when required
Other QS duties as and when assigned.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor / Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
At least 1 years of working experience in related field
Able to read and handle full set of working drawings and preparation of BQ
Excellent time management skill and able to work under pressure/tight deadlines and results oriented.
Positive working attitude, independently and hardworking.
Able to work long hours.
Able to work under pressure environment.
Possesses strong credibility for problem solving skill, detail-oriented and committed to work and task.
A highly motivated team player with strong influence to surrounding, interpersonal and communication.
Have driving license & Own a transport.
