Job Summary

Responsible for the full range of quantity surveying duties covering both office and site operations. This includes cost estimation, tender preparation, contract administration, budgeting, progress claims, and on-site verification. The role ensures all project costs and contractual obligations are accurately managed from project initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage pre-contract and post-contract administration for assigned projects. Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates for bidding and project execution. Conduct material take-off, sourcing, and quotation evaluations. Handle progress claims, variation orders (VO), and subcontractor payment certifications. Prepare and monitor project budgets, profit & loss (P&L) statements, and cost control sheets. Conduct on-site verification of quantities, materials, and work progress for accurate valuation. Liaise with consultants, architects, engineers, and subcontractors on technical and financial matters. Analyze project costs, identify variances, and propose corrective actions. Maintain proper documentation and cost databases for material and subcontractor references. Monitor material usage and wastage, ensuring efficiency and compliance. Assist in tender pricing, contract review, and preparation of progress and final claims. Perform other related and ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field. Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Good communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Able to work independently and perform both office-based and site-based duties. Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
