JOB DESCRIPTION - QUNATITY SURVEYOR
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with at least 5 years of working experience in assisting the CEO/Senior QS on all project related matters, among them
TENDER PROCESS
(1) To Prepare and compile tender documents for tender submission including
Review tender and contract document including drawings
Identify potential sub-contractors and material suppliers
Request for quotation
Review Pre-tender Cost analysis.
Present proposal and prepare tender submission.
(2) To present proposals to potential clients and to negotiate the contracts.
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
(1) To assist the Senior QS in
Negotiate with material suppliers and subcontractors regarding unit rates
Plan the allocation of work to subcontractors to facilitate the smooth workflow process.
Determine the final project budget.
Monitor project costs and contractual status to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved.
(2) To carry out site valuation and process interim progress claim on monthly basis.
(3) To review quotation or claim for variation works submitted by contractors.
(4) To prepare cost analysis update regularly and form cost reduction strategies to ensure the overall value is enhanced for the project.
(5) To provide support to sites by addressing questions about conditions of contracts and commercial issues, as needed

POST PROJECT COMPLETION

(1) Provide advice on contractual claims if any
(2) Ensure all documentation in relation to hand over the project is properly prepared
(3) Prepare final account to determine the profitability of the project
KEY REQUIREMENTS
(1) Minimum 5 years of proven experience in construction, interior fit-out, or related industries, with at least 4 years in a pre/post contract role.
(2) Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying / Building Technology or Construction-related fields. Candidates with other relevant degrees may also be considered, provided they demonstrate strong capabilities and substantial experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
(3) Skilled in using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD or BIM software (Revit, Navisworks).
(4) Familiar with PAM, FIDIC Contract and other standard forms of Construction Contracts.
(5) High level of discipline, integrity, and accountability, with the ability to enforce company policies, safety standards, and familiarity with ISO procedures consistently.
(6) Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering quality outcomes.
(7) Excellent in written and verbal communication skills.
(8) Ability to work Independently with minimum supervision as well as to lead a team when necessary
(9) Strong leadership, problem-solving, resolve conflicts and good communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive projects to completion.
