The Assistant Manager, Specification & Sales is instrumental in specifying company's products to Architects, Interior Designers, Developers and stakeholders for their projects, develop new business opportunities and create brand awareness in the industry. This role is pivotal in promoting and selling company's products among architects, designers, and developers throughout Malaysia. Candidates must possess a strong grasp of product specifications and excel in influencing product selection through impactful presentations and relationship development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of specification executives to effectively promote company's products.
Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and contractors to ensure company's products are specified in their projects, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets.
Identify and establish relationships with potential clients to expand market reach.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Deliver compelling product presentations to architects, designers, and stakeholders, highlighting the benefits and key features of Greenlam's products.
Partner with internal Retail & Channel Tean to position company's products as preferred materials, generating immediate sales opportunities.
Monitor specification progress and success rates, implementing follow-up activities to convert specifications into actual sales.
Coordinate with internal departments, including marketing, accounts, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless sales management and project delivery.
Maintain accurate records of specification activities, project statuses, and customer interactions for reporting and analytical purposes.
Collect and communicate market insights to management to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the building materials or architectural products industry with proven track specification and sales track record.
Strong understanding of product specifications, and project lifecycles.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical information effectively.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, and specifiers.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software and project tracking tools.
