Responsibilities:

Formulation development: Design and develop new formulations for products based on specific requirements or objectives. Analyze existing formulation to identify areas for improvement or innovation. Prototype creation: Develop prototypes of cosmetic formulations in the laboratory. Conduct sensory evaluations and product efficacy testing to assess product performance and consumer preferences. Ingredient/ Packaging Selection: Research and evaluate cosmetic ingredients for their functional properties, safety profile and compatibility with other ingredients. Select and optimize appropriate packaging that meet functionality, durability and efficiency aspects. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that cosmetic formulations and selling claims comply with regulatory requirements and standards established regulatory bodies. Stay updated on regulations related to cosmetic ingredients, labelling and safety assessments. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of formulation procedures, results and observations. Prepare presentations to communicate proposal to colleagues and clients. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, quality control and manufacturing. Communicate effectively to understand project requirements and address any issues that arise during development and production. Production Monitoring: Monitor production processes of new products to ensure adherence to production schedules and standards. Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to address immediate concerns.
Requirements:

Minimum 1-3 year of relevant working experience in the cosmetic field. Familiarity with ingredient chemistry, formulation techniques, and regulatory requirements for skincare and personal care products. Good communication skills in: Chinese, English and Malay Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
