? We're Hiring: R2A GL Closing (IT) Functional Consultant! ?
We are seeking an experienced R2A GL Closing (IT) Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of financial processes and systems, specifically within the context of IT. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and accurate general ledger closing procedures while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do:
Take full accountability for the success of assigned project deliverables.
Work closely with business users to design and implement SAP General Ledger Accounting and Month-end Closing processes, including integration with SmartClose tools.
Deliver both IT and business project deliverables on time and within scope.
Support the development of To-Be processes based on user requirements within the General Accounting R2A stream.
Develop functional specifications and validate technical developments.
Configure SAP systems and document all configurations according to project standards.
Identify and escalate configuration conflicts across projects within the same SAP environment and related systems.
Support creation of test scripts, preparation of test data, and overall test execution.
Participate in data migration activities and cut-over processes during go-live.
Provide country or site-specific expertise and system know-how during project deployments.
Collaborate effectively with global teams, ensuring alignment with overall business and IT objectives.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of hands-on SAP experience, preferably in General Ledger and Financial Closing areas.
Language: Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
Proven experience in multinational and cross-functional environments.
Deep knowledge of General Accounting processes and strong understanding of integration points with other SAP modules.
Sound knowledge of finance domain architecture and related system interfaces.
Experience with SolMan ALM methodologies.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders up to director level within business and IT.
Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
Comfortable working in agile environments and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to manage ambiguity and perform rapid prototyping to refine requirements.
Willingness to travel as per project or service requirements.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a strong advantage
