To carry out all radiological procedures in the Hospital as ordered by consultants and radiologists.
To undertake 'On-call' duties.
To attend to all radiology requests, radiology reports, dispatching and filing of x-ray films.
To provide accurate information and preparation guidelines to patients before their appointed radiological procedure.
To ensure that all Radiology equipment are operated correctly and are maintained in a good operating condition.
To handle enquiries and telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
To apply radiation safety measures to patients, visitors and staff where necessary.
To keep updated and to comply with all statutory radiation safety regulations and MOH guideline/circulars with regard to radiation protection as well as the Department's radiation protection policies and procedures.
To participate in the CME's organized by the Hospital with regard to radiation safety related to staff and patient safety.
To lead departmental quality improvement activities, to collate and analyze performance indicator data on Radiology services.
To orientate, train and supervise all junior radiographers.
To ensure there is sufficient staffing support in the various examination rooms.
To conduct CME on radiology procedures and radiation safety training to Hospital staff and student nurses, whenever requested.
To ensure that the technical components / functions of the radiology modality in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory are functioning as intended. If there is any malfunction, to immediately contact the respective vendor and inform the Radiology Manager accordingly.
To prepare the monthly Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory workload statistics and staff over-time record for Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
To collect all film badges in the Radiology Department every month and to dispatch them to the Hospital Radiation Protection Officer.
To check that all wet films are returned from the wards or clinic for reporting by the radiologists.
To write/record notes for the department meeting, team meeting and radiology clinical meeting.
To perform any other related duties assigned by the Radiology Manager.
