To assist the surgeon, physician or radiologist with radiological procedures for specialize and non-specialized equipment.
Responsible for the care of patient before, during and after the diagnostic procedure / examination.
To produce a radiograph of diagnostic quality which can be kept as a permanent record.
To involve in collecting data and to generate report for QIPS and KPIs for the department.
The reception and documentation of patient in the HIS.
The assessment and selection of the correct exposure factors required to complete the requested examination in the safest manner.
The provision of domestic and surgical supplies for the smooth running of the Imaging Department.
To maintain the department in a clean and hygienic condition.
Prepare sterile trays and trolleys as per the requirement of certain procedures / examinations.
Manning the Imaging Department alone when on call.
Carrying out radiological procedures.
Ensuring that patients are prepared for radiological procedures-physically and mentally.
Storage and safe keeping of radiographs / radiological reports of medico-legal importance or insurance claims or of academic interest.
