Daily Routine

• Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.

Principal Accountabilities

• Adheres and observes professional\xe2\x80\x99s code of ethic in all aspect of practice.
• Performs all types of general radiography in the department and operating theater using variable type of imaging modalities.
• Ensures radiation safety to all parties while performing radiological procedure.

• Conducts him/her in a professional manner, responds to patient needs, and supports colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care.
• Acts to advance the principal objective of the profession - to provide services to humanity with full respect for the dignity of mankind.
• Delivers patient care and services unrestricted by the concerns of personal attributes or the nature of the disease or illness and without discrimination regardless of sex, race, creed, religion, or socio economic status.

Major Challenges & Complexities

• To work within Radiation protection guidelines in accordance with the Local Rules and Regulation set by the Ministry of Health (MOH), Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) and within ICRP\xe2\x80\x99s guidelines and recommendations to ensure that the correct patient receives the correct x-ray examination with the minimum radiation dose.
• Job requires high alertness on application of safety measure at all times to provide service in high risk environment; i.e., Radiation Area and Infection Cases.
• Job requires competency in operating wide variety range of imaging modalities and accountable for the safety measurements implement.

Other Req:

• Min possess at least Diploma in Radiography & Medical Imaging or equivalent.
• Preferred Degree in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy.
• Minimum 2 year of experience in a healthcare background
• Preferred More than 2 years working experience in multi discipline radiology department in a tertiary hospital.
