Job Description

1) New product development (NPD)

Assist the team to develop extension flavors and new products, including the processing procedures and techniques. To establish and update related work instructions, including analysis method, product specification (formulation, ingredients list, nutritional fact &, etc) and documents of all projects and samples status on time. Review and improve the application for new and current raw materials and packaging materials when necessary. Tackle problems encountered during processing and to support procurement in ingredients selection. Proactively initiate and follow up all R&D activities include lab-scale sample upon stakeholder request. Continuously seek out ingredients & methods that offer better quality & cost efficiency. Product development and improvement Product new ideation and creation Product Raw Material Costing for NPD

2) Technical support in a trial run and product shelf life

To render technical supports on production issues, including processing procedures, preparation of ingredients, and packaging process to ensure finished products are safe and meet the required quality standard. Provide relevant technical support and training to Sales, Purchasing and Production/Manufacturing Department To conduct a sensory evaluation and closely monitor product stability to determine product shelf life.

3) Administrative and Communication

Maintain good housekeeping and 5S practices in the R&D lab to maintain lab hygiene and cleanliness. Record Keeping and Maintaince of records R&D documents
Any other ad hoc task as requested by the immediate superior from time to time.

Job Requirement :

Diploma/Degree in food technology / science / Culinology or related academic background. Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in the R&D of food industry. To develop product sample to meet customer request and food technology knowledge. Able to adapt in a dynamic work environment and to manage work pressure of stakeholder demand and expectation. Able to work independently under minimum supervision. Knowledge in computer and data processing for instance Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Words & etc.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
