R&D Hardware Engineer

Location: Level 4, Modu System Bldg, No. 10, Jln Astana 1, Bandar Bukit Raja, 41050 Klang, Selangor, Malaysia

Reports to: R&D Hardware Manager

Responsibilities

Design and simulate analog/digital circuits and create PCB schematics/layouts. Build, solder, and troubleshoot prototype circuits. Assist in preparing test jigs and documentation for production handover. Support BOM creation, documentation, and sourcing discussions with suppliers. Conduct tests using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, etc.) to verify hardware performance. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to create 3D models of circuit boards for mechanical integration. Stay updated on the latest PCB design tools, technologies, and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements

Minimum 3 years of working experience in hardware design, PCB layout, or related R&D engineering fields. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles. Hands-on experience with PCB design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, etc.). Proficiency in soldering, assembling, and troubleshooting electronic circuits. Familiarity with lab testing equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.). Good understanding of BOM management and sourcing of electronic components. Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, production). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Knowledge of EMC/EMI compliance and industry standards is an added advantage
