Company BackgroundWe are representing our client a well-established Halal & HACCP pastry and bakery manufacturer which distribute and supplies broad variety of bakery and pastry products to various customers such as F&B convenient stores, F&B outlets and eateries and airlines.They are currently embarking expansion plans and in a lookout for an experienced and innovative R&D Manager to lead the R&D team for bread, Danish and frozen cake departments. The incumbent shall focus on developing product innovation and improvement, automation and enhancing the quality of frozen bakery products, to ensure that they meet high-quality standards and customer expectations.Work Location: Shah AlamBenefits:

Main Responsibilities:

• Leads and manages the R&D department, setting strategic goals and objectives to drive innovation, product development and quality improvement in frozen bakery products, especially in the areas of improving product texture, shelf life and freezing technology.
• Coordinates with corporate customers to develop OEM frozen bakery products, addressing their specific needs and preferences.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining the integrity and safety of all products.
• Introduces and manages new technologies, with a view towards full automation.
• Develops and implements R&D projects that enhance product quality and efficiency, while managing the budgets and resources for R&D projects to ensure efficient use of company assets.
• Collaborating closely with production, quality assurance and marketing departments to ensure market relevance and quality, and with other departments to align R&D activities with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Monitors and keep abreast of industry trends to ensure that the company remains competitive through continuous innovation.

Qualification:

• Open to Malaysian ONLY
• Degree in Food Science, Bakery Science or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience within the baking or frozen food industry, with a focus on R&D.
• Deep knowledge of baking processes, automation and frozen product development.
• High attention to detail and good analytical skills to interpret data and improve product formulations.
• Strong leadership, organizational and project management skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are necessary to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
